For those of you who don't know, Oxford is a Certified Retirement Community. What does this mean? It means Oxford is 1 of about 21 certiified retirement communities in the state. (There about 76 total in 6 participating states). The point of these communities is economic development. 76 million baby-boomers nearing the age of retirement has caught the eye of several states.
